Lucknow – With the BJP expressing its inability before Apex Court to conduct enumeration of Other Backward Castes(OBC) in Census 2021, a fresh of political upmanship is all set to spark off over the backward politics in poll bound Uttar Pradesh.

The BSP supremo Mayawati has emerged as the initiator as she fired first salvo on ruling BJP. In her statement issued on Friday she alleged that the affidavit of the BJP has exposed the double standrds of BJP. ” It has been yet again established that BJP is a selfish party. While It claims something yet it does opposite to it” she commented.
The BSP supremo said that the stand of the BJP over the enmeration of OBCs in the ensuing census is cause of great concern and worries for backward castes.
“The demand for the enumeration of OBCs has already gained momentum across the nation but refusal of the BJP to do so has hurt the backwads immensely” she added. “It will jeopardize the future of OBCs” the BSP chief further said.

The princiipal opposition Samajwadi Party is also expected to lambast BJP on the issue as it had joined the chorus of enumeration of OBCs in the upcoming Census. The smaller outfits like Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party a former BJP ally led by Om Prakash Rajbhar may also follow the suit.
