Yogi Adityanath Hits out at Opposition Over Riots and Defamation

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, slammed the opposition on Monday, accusing them of plundering people’s rights and demeaning the country on multiple occasions. Adityanath stated that although the BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chairman JP Nadda, is working to create India as a powerful nation in the globe, some individuals are disparaging the country. He was speaking to a crowd in Gorakhpur ahead of the 2018 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

He further claimed that since the BJP took control in Uttar Pradesh, “goons” had forgotten about thuggery and “gangsters” have fled the state. “I’m sure you’ve seen that each difficulty is being fixed one by one.

This is the same state where gangsters and rioters reigned supreme. However, the thugs have forgotten about hooliganism, and the gangsters have fled the state. They understand that if they succumb to anarchy, they will be compensated for their losses,” he explained.

The Uttar Pradesh government passed an ordinance last year to establish tribunals to recoup damages to public and private property caused by rioters and demonstrators. Early next year, elections for the 400-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly are scheduled.
