India Post’s doorstep cash withdrawal service is a blessing for 30 lakh people

During the coronavirus lockdown, everyone has been struggling with health, resources, cash, jobs etc.

In such a time when going out of the house to withdraw money for essential purchases was getting difficult, India Post stepped into the picture with its valuable service.

The service called Aadhar-enabled Payment System(AePS) provided by India Post Payment Bank helps to get cash for those who cannot visit their nearest ATM or bank branch.

Managed by the Indian Postal Services, the service aims to help anyone who has a Aadhar-linked bank account in any bank across India with a maximum amount of Rs. 10,000 per day using AePS.

The service has proved to be a huge blessing for people living in village areas where a postman or post office is more accessible than any other traditional bank facilities.

Around 20,000 representatives worked to disburse over Rs 496 crore to around 30 lakh people all over Uttar Pradesh. Majority of these people were daily wage workers, laboureres, farmers etc.
