Google removes Paytm app from Play Store on policy violation

New Delhi: Google has removed the Paytm app from the Play Store. Right now other apps related to Paytm like Paytm for Business, Paytm Mall, Ptm Money and some other apps are available for download. Policy violation has been claimed to remove it. Paytm has now refused to comment on the matter and has said that the company will issue a statement after investigating the matter.

The app is currently available for download on the App Store. Google has not given any reason to remove the app. This app has been downloaded by millions of users in India. However, Google in its blog post today mentioned the company’s policy regarding gambling .

Google has apparently removed the Paytm app because it allegedly violates the company’s new rules around online gambling. A source within Google said that the Google team that worked with developers reached out to Paytm repeatedly to fix the issues with the app. However, Paytm made repeated violations of the Google policy, noted the source.
