Amazon expands delivery network in Brazil

Amazon.com Inc. is launching three new distribution centres in Brazil. It is extensively trying to push its logistics in Latin America’s largest market as competition has become tough during the coronavirus pandemic.

The plan of expansion is announced just two months after the company introduced its largest distribution center yet in the country.

The US e-commerce giant has included 75,000 square-meters to Amazon’s logistics infrastructure recently.

The company believes in expansion and reaching out to more customers and there is still more to come.

The new distribution centres are likely to open up 1,500 direct jobs in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Porto Alegre cities.

Right now, Amazon has eight distribution centres all over Brazil and it hopes to increase its services to more stakeholders and mark its mark in the growing e-commerce demand of the country.
