MG Hector with ‘Hinglish’ voice command to be launched on January 7

MG Hector 2021, the facelift version of MG Hector, will be launched in India on 7 January. The industry first Hinglish voice command feature will be available in 2021 MG Hector. This allows the car to understand and react to 35+ Hinglish commands to control various in-car functions. For example, “Run FM”, “Reduce temperature” etc. The 2021 MG Hector will have features like wireless charging, ventilated front seats (first-in-segment), black interior etc.

MG Hector was launched 2 years ago in India. Hector’s ex-showroom price starts at Rs. 12.83 lakhs. The MG Hector facelift will have a 1.5 liter petrol engine and a 2.0 liter diesel engine, just like the current model. There is a possibility that this time MG will provide automatic transmission options with diesel engine.

The 7 seater MG Hector Plus is also to be launched on 7 January. The 7-seater MG Hector Plus will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine and a 1.5-liter petrol engine. There will be a 48-V mild hybrid system and 7-speed DCT gearbox with petrol engine. The 6 seater Hector Plus was launched in India in July 2020. It has 3 engine options 1.5 liter petrol, 1.5 liter petrol hybrid automatic and 2.0 liter. The 6-speed manual transmission is standard as well as the 7-speed DCT as optional, with 1.5-liter petrol and 1.5-liter petrol hybrid automatic engine options. There is only a 6-speed manual transmission with a 2.0-liter, 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine.
