New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) for the May session. The examination of the May session was scheduled to be held on May 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28. The decision to postpone the examination has been taken in view of the increasing cases of coronovirus.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the postponement of the examination through his Twitter handle. He wrote, “Keeping in mind the current status of Covid-19 and the safety of students, the JEE (Main) -May 2021 session has been postponed. Students are advised to follow the NTA for further updates. Stay active on the official website. “
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Main 2021 exam in four sessions this year. Two of these sessions have already been completed in February (Session 1) and March (Session 2). There were 6,20,978 students in the first session and 5,56,248 students took the exam in the second session.
