Lucknow: Five-member students’ team of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus has been honoured with the coveted ‘WIPRO Earthian Award’ for its excellent work on the sustainability and biodiversity works in their school and surrounding areas. At a glittering award ceremony held recently in Bengaluru, the Chairman of Wipro, Mr Rishad Premji honoured the CMS students and their teachers Mrs Neelam Pandey and Mrs Shikha Tripathi. The students of the winning team of CMS Kanpur Road Campus comprise Bhuvi Bhatnagar, Advik Tripathi, Kashvi Paul, Hansika Gautam and Aarna Bajpai. These students did their research work under the guidance of their teacher and environment coordinator, Dr (Mrs) Shikha Tripathi on sustainability and biodiversity and spread awareness for water conservation, biodiversity and waste management and motivated them to practise ‘Recycle, Reuse and Reduce Pollution’.

CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, expressing happiness over this achievement, said that the credit for this success goes entirely to the dedicated teachers and talented students of school, whose dedication and hard work has raised the school’s flag high on national front. During 61 years of academic journey, the school has established various landmarks owing to its committed teachers, making not only the people of Lucknow but rather the entire state feel proud of them.
