Mumbai University reschedules exams due to power failure

Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region of Thane, Raigad and Palghar witnessed a huge power failure because of a grid problem.

Various tripping of lines and transformer (Kalwa-Padghe and Khargar ICTs) affected 360 MW supply in and around the city.

Due to the power cut, Mumbai University has postponed the date of all UG and PG examination to Sunday, October 18.

The timings of the exam will remain the same and there is no change in it.

Due to the power breakdown, Central Railway and Western Railway also faced major issues as all local trains stopped en route till Vasai and Diva.

Many travellers at various locations came down from the train and walked towards the nearest railway station to stay safe and reach their respective places.
