New Delhi: The Directorate of Education (DOE) on Wednesday announced the commencement of admissions for nursery from 18 February in Delhi. Assistant Education Director Yogesh Pal Singh said, “The application process will begin on February 18. The first list will be released on March 20 and the process will be completed on March 31. “
The Directorate of Education said that as per the announced schedule, admissions in private schools will be conducted completely online this year. However, the admission process in government schools will be conducted both online and offline.
The registration process will start from 18 February. The last date to fill the form is 4 March and the first list of admission will be released on 20 March. The second list will be released on 25 March. The admission process will be completed by 31 March and classes will start from 1 April.
Admissions to nursery for about 1700 schools generally started in the last week of November in Delhi. The DOE issues guidelines and asks schools to submit the required information, after which the application process is initiated in December. This was not done last year.
