How to search for a job this pandemic

If you lost your job or are likely to get laid off by your company or you are planning to leave the toxic workplace for better job opportunities, then it is now the right time to search for a good job. The coronavirus pandemic has been a huge blow to the Indian economy with middle-class incomes shrinking to the highest low ever after almost three decades. So, if you are a man or a woman and have to decide to focus on your career in this pandemic, here are some useful tips that you can follow to grab your dream job.

1) Firstly update your CV and cover-page by looking at the best resumes available on the internet. Do not add too much information and at the same time, don’t make your resume just a paragraph. You need to keep your CV to a minimum of 2 pages and add a cover page that will mention why you should be hired by the recruiting manager in what are your value additions to the company over other candidates.

2) Login or sign up to LinkedIn.com and Naukri.com as these are the two most trusted and reliable websites to get you the job listings of the top companies and good organizations wherein you can restart your career and make a living to pay your bills and save for your future. Don’t fall for fraudulent companies that ask you to pay fees to get work or get noticed by prospective employers.

3) If it has been almost over a month and yet you are unable to get that job of your choice and salary package, then you can even send your CVs to the people whom you know and are working in good positions in different companies. Sometimes references also work. You can also ask for your ex-colleagues or boss to add recommendations about you on LinkedIn or give you a letter mentioning what are your good skills and expertise.
