Lucknow : As the number of daily COVID cases in Uttar Pradesh decreases, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to develop an action plan for the state’s schools to reopen. He also requested that officials start the process of promoting pupils in elementary, secondary, higher, and technical schools.

Dr Randeep Guleria, the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Chief, has also urged school reopening to be staggered. The UPSA (Unaided Private School Association) had contacted the government to take action on resuming school services. UPSA wrote to Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, requesting for classes to resume in a systematic way to not harm the education of children.

The administration of Uttar Pradesh has agreed to reopen schools in the state with a 50% attendance rate. From 16th Aug 2021 forward, schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh will use the covid-19 protocol. Since 2nd Aug, the schools have been open in several states around the country.

The covid-19 protocol will be implemented in all Uttar Pradesh schools. Students will be required to wear masks and maintain social distance. To attend school in UP, students must have their parent’s written approval. Admission to the school will not be granted to pupils who do not have a consent letter.

 The state’s intermediate schools will reopen on 16th Aug with a 50 per cent capacity. Colleges and institutions are set to resume on 1st Sept. The state government has given orders to commence the admissions process for students in colleges and universities on 5th Aug.

States reopening schools

From 2nd Aug, the Punjab and Uttarakhand governments reopened schools for all grades. Schools in Jharkhand resumed on 2nd Aug, but only for classes 9 to 12. Meanwhile, the Delhi administration will soon decide on reopening schools and resuming regular courses for a few days.

Significantly, schools in Maharashtra, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and other states have reopened. The kids, on the other hand, are not required to attend. school.
