Mamata’s defeat from Nandigram

Nandigram: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress party chief Mamata Banerjee is reported to have lost the election to Nandigram seat from Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Shubhendu Adhikari, though earlier she had reported winning by 1200 votes. In the early trends, Shubhendu was seen to outweigh Mamata Banerjee at times, but by the 13th round, Mamata had taken the lead. Mamata is defeated by Shubhendu Adhikari of BJP by around 1700 votes.

After losing to Nandigram, CM Mamta said, ‘Don’t worry about Nandigram, I fight for Nandigram because I have fought a movement. Whatever decision Nandigram has to give, I accept it. I don’t mind BJP has lost the election.

With the news of Mamata Banerjee’s victory, TMC activists started celebrating in all the districts of the state including Nandigram. TMC seems to be getting more seats than the magic figures in West Bengal trends / results. TMC has crossed 200 seats. At the same time, BJP is leading in about 76 seats.

Let us tell you that Mamata Banerjee was allegedly attacked during the election campaign in Nandigram. Her leg was injured in the attack. After which Didi took command of the election campaign on the wheel chair and she appeared on the wheel chair in the rally-padayatras.
